Schüssler salts or VitaZouten What is the difference?

Dr. Med. W. Schüssler (1821-1898) was a physician, homeopathic physician and anatomo-pathologist. He was not satisfied with the possibilities of both conventional medicine and homeopathic medicine at the time. Homeopathy was too extensive (too many remedies) and conventional medicine too limited. He looked for a medical possibility to greatly limit the number of remedies and to separate the advice from all kinds of symptom descriptions of his patients.
Through his work as anatomo-pathologist he discovered that human blood and cells contained incombustible so-called inorganic salt compounds. He was able to link the presence or absence of these salts in certain quantities to symptoms that the deceased suffered from before his death.
He called his very wise Biochemical therapy and his remedies Cell Salts (12). It was important that these salts (2 or more mineral compounds) would be absorbed into the bloodstream via the oral mucosa and not via the gastrointestinal tract because the salts change structure due to the action of stomach acid. He achieved this by combining his knowledge of conventional medicine with homeopathic medicine. The oral mucosa can absorb molecules (the smallest form of a substance that still contains all the characteristics of that substance). Trituration of the salts with "dry" lactose (crystallized) results in a pharmacist's trituration (micronization) of salts and lactose, in which the salt molecules move freely between the lactose. By using dry lactose, no transfer of energy takes place, as is usual with homeopathic triturations (trituration) when using "wet" lactose (agglomerated), because moisture is the only material that can store energy. Dr. Schüssler therefore had his recipes prepared by a local pharmacist, who worked with "dry" lactose, instead of obtaining his remedies from the Schwabe Pharmacy (1866), which at that time was already focusing on the large-scale preparation of cell salts and other homeopathic medicines using "wet" lactose. This pharmacist Dr. W. Schwabe is also the author of the Homeopathic Medicines Handbook (HAB) and the founder of the current German Homeopathy Union (DHU), among others VSM is a part of DHU. This means that cell salts that have a homeopathic medicine registration in the country of production are the so-called "Schüssler salts" homeopathic medicines. The main effect of these Schüssler salts is mainly an energetic stimulus function to stimulate more absorption (which makes the demand higher than the salt availability per tablet) and not a biochemical additional effect (addition of availability) as developed by Dr. Schüssler. VitaZouten are produced by trituration with dry lactose as intended by Dr. Schüssler and are therefore comparable to, for example, a Magnesium or Calcium supplement, etc. only then as a microsupplement in molecular form, so that they can be absorbed directly by the oral mucosa.

In use, this difference mainly results in:
A) The amount of tablets to be taken to obtain any result. With “Schussler salts” up to 30 to 40 tablets per day, with VitaZouten 2 x daily 1 to 2 tablets.
B) Schüssler salts are only available in separate jars per type. VitaZouten are not only available in separate jars per type but also in standard combinations, cell salts 1 to 12 in 1 tablet (compositum basis) and cell salts 13 to 27 in 1 tablet (compositum extra). This is possible because, for example, cell salts 1 to 12 also occur next to each other in vegetables. It is also possible to make a so-called personal mixture (the cell salts you use together in 1 powder).

What are cell salts and how do deficiencies arise?

Dr. Schüssler's cell salt therapy
The Dutch center for Dr. Schüssler's cell salt therapy, founded in 1995, stands for the ideology and the realization of making this safe, natural healing therapy more widely known. In addition, we are committed to successfully making Dr. Schüssler's cell salt therapy applicable for both the therapist and the individual. Healthy and fit through the use of substances that can be absorbed by the body cells.

Dr. W.H. Schüssler (1821-1898) was a physician, homeopath and anatomopathologist. In his work as anatomopathologist, he discovered that after cremation, 12 inorganic salts remained as a residue of the cremated body. He also found that a disproportion in these inorganic compounds could be found in the clinical picture of the deceased person. From these experiences, he laid the foundation for cell salt therapy, the basis for natural health.

Cell salts, according to the classical recipe, as substances that can be absorbed by the body cells, can be used by young and old in addition to any other form of medication, both regular and homeopathic. These are salts (a compound of 2 or more mineral substances), which we should normally get in sufficient quantities through our food.

Why cell salts are so important?

Cell salts are specific connections between 2 minerals, one of which is positively charged and the other negatively charged, which means they attract each other and form a stable couple. Our cells need these salts, just like vitamins, to function properly. Our cells use these salts to be able to process the stresses they encounter of any kind, such as: stress, viruses, pollution, etc. If a shortage of cell salts occurs due to overload, the cell can no longer recover and is no longer able to perform its function, and a pathological situation arises (Schüssler 1874). To resolve this pathological situation, the cell needs cell salts.

Normally, we obtain the necessary cell salts through our food. But then our food must be of good quality and we must chew our food very well, because the cell salts from our food only remain cell salts if they enter the bloodstream via the oral mucosa. As soon as cell salts enter the stomach, they are broken down into simple minerals by our stomach acid.

A shortage of cell salts occurs in our time due to 3 causes:
1.
Our food contains less and less cell salts due to the depletion of the soil, which means that vegetables and fruit contain less and less cell salts.
2. Our lives have become increasingly hectic and stressful, which means that our cells need more and more cell salts to continue to function healthily.
3. We eat more and more processed food and chewing our food carefully is no longer in keeping with the times, everything has to be quick and easy.
